Session Abstract:
When people try to describe the pace of change within the communications business, Moore's Law frequently is invoked: processing power or storage doubles every 18 months or so. Not many would use such rates of change to describe what is happening-or not happening-on the carrier and service provider fronts. Whenever a carrier says bandwidth demand is growing faster than Moore's Law, as some now say, we need to take note. What does that mean for the rest of the business?
