Andrew Newton is an Internet technologist.  He currently chairs the IETF’s working group on Geolocation and Privacy and is one of chief designers and co-authors of the IETF’s upcoming VoIP 9-1-1 protocols, Location-to-Service Translation (LoST).  Andrew currently serves as Development Manager for SunRocket’s VoIP Software Platform Group. Previous to SunRocket, he was a Senior Research Engineer for VeriSign working on Internet-scale directory services and identity management systems such as ENUM.
