Carlos is the Marketing Director for the France Telecom international wholesale business in North and South America. France Telecom has one of the world biggest voice and IP international networks, while also being a leader in mobile and VoIP retail in Europe. Carlos joined France Telecom international services in 1997 initially as an IT engineer for the satellite voice network. Carlos then worked on the deployment and operations of the international Internet backbone. In 2001 Carlos moved to the US as the provisioning and planning director for the North American transmission backbone which he operated until moving to the marketing and sales organization in 2005.
