James Taylor Director Sustaining Engineering Global Crossing |
As Director – Sustaining Engineering he has a unique perspective to share us today. His role straddles both the Development/Architecture and Network Operations teams while he focuses on tier III operational support for the global voice network to include legacy TDM as well as VoIP, interoperability testing (VoIP Peering), product integration, and software regression testing. He has significant customer contact as well as working the internal platform based services and support software.
Previously he worked at Frontier Communications in Southfield, Michigan where he led west coast provisioning and learned what it takes to provision, project manage and drive timely service for new customers.
He has ten years of experience in voice communications, literally from the back to the front office. His early education included the United States Military Academy prior to serving six years as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army, He completed Advanced Airborne and the Combined Arms Staff Service Schools.
He has a BS in Systems Engineering and a MA in Operations Management.
JT, loves innovation and sharing with customers Global Crossings network strengths to help them embrace VoIP technologies. He has 4+ years of experience with Sonus Networks suite of products. Outside of work he enjoys golf, snowboarding and baseball.
