Julio Alvarez joined Digicel two years ago, as the Group International Business Director managing Carrier Services and Int’l Roaming for the 23 mobile operations that make up Digicel Caribbean. He has worked in the Telecom industry for 13 years. He started his career at Nortel, where he held positions in marketing, and spent 5 years looking at the world from the perspective of an equipment vendor. Later he joined Western Wireless International for 6 years and took a myriad of roles in their America’s business that included business development (scouting the Americas for mobile licenses), carrier services (where he setup Western Wireless Enterprises to hub traffic for their operations in the Americas) and lastly worked as Product Marketing Director for Voila Haiti. Julio has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA – both from Florida Atlantic University. |
